Mr Rajak is a leading eye surgeon and eyelid plastic surgeon (oculoplastic surgeon). An NHS consultant at the renowned Sussex Eye Hospital, he specialises in eyelid, cataract, eye socket and tear drainage system surgery.

Mr Rajak is one of the leading and most highly trained eyelid surgeons in the country. Furthermore, he is internationally recognised through his clinical and surgical work, collaborations, research publications, textbook and book chapters and surgical training website.

Mr Rajak graduated with Honours in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Nottingham in 2000. He underwent specialist training in eye surgery (7 years) in London and the South East. This included Moorfields Eye Hospital and St Thomas’ Hospital. Additionally, this was followed by specialist eyelid surgery training in The Sussex Eye Hospital. He undertook two further specialist training fellowships in eyelid, eye socket and tear drainage surgery. Firstly, in the Sussex Eye Hospital (one year). Secondly, at The Royal Adelaide Hospital and Adelaide Women’s and Children’s Hospital (two years). Notably, this is among the most highly regarded training centres for this field of surgery in the world.

Eyelid surgery includes skin and fat reduction (blepharoplasty), correction of in-turning and out-turning eyelids and cancer excision surgery. Importantly, surgery in this region is very specialised and should always be managed by a highly trained and experienced surgeon, such as Mr Rajak, whose day-to-day life is spent managing these conditions.
