Dr Srinath Narasimhan
GP with Extended Role in DermatologyDr Narasimhan is an experienced General Practitioner with an Extended Role in Dermatology (GPwER), offering expert care in the diagnosis and management of a wide range of skin conditions. He has been a practising GP since 2011 and is a GP Principal at Wealden Ridge Medical Practice, near Lewes.
With a strong interest in skin health and minor surgical procedures, Dr Narasimhan completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Dermatology with distinction from Queen Mary University of London in 2017. He is also accredited as a GPwER in General Dermatology awarded jointly by the British Association of Dermatologists, the Primary Care Dermatology Society, and the Royal College of General Practitioners.
Since 2018, he has been a valued member of the Sussex Community Dermatology Service and works in Eastbourne District General hospital as part of his NHS dermatology role. Since 2022 he has also been a part of the Community Dermatology Team in East Sussex. His expertise spans general dermatology, acne, dermatoses, and lesion assessments, and minor skin surgery.
Due to his General practice background, Dr Narasimhan brings a patient-centred approach-taking the time to understand individual concerns and working with patients to develop clear, personalised treatment plans. As a GP appraiser and clinical educator for Brighton and Sussex Medical School, he is committed to upholding high standards in medical ethics, education, and ongoing professional development.
Outside of work, Dr Narasimhan is a father of 2 and enjoys family life. He’s a keen tennis and padel player, a passionate traveller who loves exploring new cultures, and a self-confessed foodie.
