Dr. O’Callaghan

Dr O’ Callaghan’s experience includes Lead Consultant Dermatologist in her NHS practice, and core member of the multidisciplinary skin cancer team.

She graduated from the National University of Ireland in Galway. She trained as a dermatologist in University Hospitals Galway and the Royal London. In addition, she trained in Whipps Cross Hospitals and University Hospitals Sussex.

Dr Callaghan has vast experience in managing skin cancer, moles and benign skin lesions. Moreover, she has a wealth of experience in treating rashes (dermatitis, eczema, psoriasis, acne, rosacea, urticaria and rashes requiring diagnosis). Her sub-specialism is in the management of female and male genital skin conditions. Further, for over a decade she has run a clinic for complex vulval skin conditions with a Gynaecology colleague. Dr Callaghan has had an honorary contract for years with University College Hospitals London. Furthermore, she attends a dedicated male genital skin disorders clinic alongside Professor Chris Bunker.

She is a member of the British Association of Dermatologists, British Society for the Study of Vulval Disease and the British Medical Association.

Additionally, she has a keen interest in teaching and is currently a lead for medical student education at University Hospitals Sussex.

In her free time, Dr Callaghan enjoys spending time with family and friends, gardening and going for walks on the South Downs.
